Over $10,000 Raised! Thank You for Your Support!

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support us at our "Night at the Theatre" fundraiser on November 1st.

The evening was a great success raising over $10,000 for our Pastoral Care, Physiotherapy and Music Therapy programs.

We would like to acknowledge Holly Martin-Thompson, Linda Chiang and our Board of Directors for organizing this event and thank you to the many individuals and suppliers who generously donated items for the silent auction.

A very special thank you to the Metro Theatre and the cast and crew of "Calendar Girls" for a most enjoyable performance!

Annual Christmas Fair - Dec. 9th

Donations Needed!

Our annual Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, December 9th. from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Sponsored and organized by our Family Council, this event gives holiday shoppers a chance to purchase handmade crafts and delicious holiday baked goods.

Raffle tickets for the Family Council's annual Christmas raffle draw will also be available at the sale. Donations of gift cards, wine/spirits or cash to purchase items for the raffle gift baskets would be greatly appreciated and will be accepted up to November 23rd.

We also welcome and appreciate donations of handcrafted items and/or baked goods for our sale. Donations will be accepted up to Friday, December 8th. and may be brought to our Recreation Department. For more information about this sale and/or raffle, please contact Paloma Leon in our Recreation Department (Ext 124).

We look forward to seeeing you at the sale!

Proceeds from the Christmas Fair will support our Family Council's programs, initiatives and event.

Light Up for Christ

Light Up for Christ: December 5th

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Our annual Light Up for Christ celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m.

On this evening of Scripture, prayer, and hymns we light the candles of our Advent Wreath and illuminate our courtyard. A reception will follow the service.

Save the Date: Family Night

Our annual Family Night will take place on Thursday December 14th. at 7:00 p.m.

Join us for an evening of festive fun featuring the music of the "Beauty Shop Dolls". Refreshments and 50/50 draw will be held after the musical performance.

Note: Our 4th Floor Christmas Party will be held on Thursday December 21st at 2:30 p.m.


Prepare Yourself for Flu Season

Flu Season Precautions

It is now flu season. Residents and staff have received their vaccines. Family and friends who have not yet received their annual flu vaccination are strongly encouraged to do so.

Like last year, we will be asking visitors to to adhere to our flu protection policy. For the duration of flu season, visitors who have NOT received their flu vaccination will be asked to wear a mask while they are in the building. Masks are available at the Front Reception or from the 2nd Floor Nurse.

Please remember to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when entering the building, and again when leaving and if you have any cold or flu symptoms, please do not visit until you are free from symptoms for 48 hours.

Family Council News

The next Family Council meeting is scheduled for November 20th at 4:00 p.m.

Monthly meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. If you would like more information about our Family Council please contact Paloma Leon in our Recreation Department (Ext 124) or visit our FAMILY COUNCIL webpage.
