Our gala is the launch of a fundraising campaign to raise $500,000 to modernize the elevators at Columbus Residence.

At Columbus Residence, an elevator isn’t just a machine — it’s a lifeline.

Our residents rely on our elevators to safely access meals, medical care, chapel services, time with family, and community events. When they work well, life flows freely. When they don’t, it creates physical and emotional barriers — isolating residents from the very experiences that bring them joy, dignity, and connection.

Without reliable elevators, residents may be confined to a single floor, missing out on the simple pleasures and vital routines that makes Columbus Residence their safe haven. These upgrades are about more than convenience, they are about restoring freedom, safety, and the ability to experience life to the fullest.
